I have really enjoyed my plays of several games designed by R. Ben Madison. He has a knack for including elements of the history into the gameplay while placing the events into the framework of his chosen system, which is usually the States of Siege Series…but not always.
In this video, I spotlight several of Ben Madison’s games that I have played and had a good experience with. Those games include Mound Builders from Victory Point Games, Nubia: Egypt’s Black Heirs from White Dog Games, Gorbachev: The Fall of Communism from White Dog Games, Jeff Davis: The Confederacy at War from White Dog Games, The Mission: Early Christianity from the Crucifixion to the Crusades from White Dog Games and Don’t Tread on Me from White Dog Games.
Hi Grant, These games seem interesting, also a number of different themes are incorporated. Could you pass onto Alexander next time you speak to him. That their is another ECW tactical game called : “This Accursed Civil War” by GMT . It is detailed and very good representation. It is hex and counter Brigade level So Marston Moor battle has a whole lot of counters. Jim
We actually have talked about this one and hope to track a copy down so we can play it.
