Last year, we started a new video series called RAW where we literally just turn the camera on after playing a big wargame and talk through our thoughts, concerns, areas of difficulty, strategy, etc. It is just a RAW unloading of our thoughts in the immediacy of having played the game. In this second entry, we had just finished a game of A Most Fearful Sacrifice: The Three Days of Gettysburg from Plying Pig Games and turned on the camera to record our initial thoughts and discussion.
During the time of the Kickstarter, we published an interview with the designer Hermann Luttmann and you can read that at the following link: https://theplayersaid.com/2021/04/06/interview-with-hermann-luttmann-designer-of-a-most-fearful-sacrifice-the-three-days-of-gettysburg-from-flying-pig-games-coming-to-kickstarter-today/
We also recently posted a Beautiful Boards of Wargaming post covering the map art work of the late Rick Barber for AMFS and you can read that at the following link: https://theplayersaid.com/2023/06/09/the-beautiful-boards-of-wargaming-a-most-fearful-sacrifice-the-three-days-of-gettysburg-from-flying-pig-games/

Grant,
Try one of the Civil War games done by Revolution Games. These use Hermann Luttmann’s Blind Swords system and the earlier volumes have Rick Barber drawn maps.
