The August 2023 Monthly Debrief Video saw us discussing the COIN Series from GMT Games, including what the highlights of the system are, a look at each of the 11 published volumes plus the excellent new COIN Series Multi-pack The British Way, and a discussion about what we like about the series. What we didn’t do was a ranking. We are actively working on a new COIN Series Ranking video but you are just going to have to wait!
Also as usual, we covered the games we played in August, which really weren’t many together at least, and a look at what games we plan on playing in September.

How has nobody commented on this video yet? I’ve watched this twice… and will again for the COIN chat.
However, I still respectfully disagree with TPA (sorry) about People’s Power. It’s an ideal introduction game. Give a newbie the NPA and you’ve just taught them 90% of FARC/July26/VC factions. The extended scenario is still short ans has the epic build-up that explodes in violence (or peace protesting!) that normal COIN has.
After British Way I hope TPA gives it another shot. PP is REALLY good – solo or at 3-player.
