I’m glad you’re enjoying Shelby Foote. If you feel like reading more good Civil War books, you might consider Bruce Catton and Stephen Sears. Also, The Longest Night: A Military History of the Civil War by David J. Eicher includes every engagement of the conflict. It is a large, but every readable, volume.
