The June 2025 Monthly Debrief Video, which is the 6th episode in Season 5 of this series, saw us discussing Travel Wargames. In our opinion, Travel Wargames is not just about the size of the box but also the overall footprint of the game and whether it can be played in a small and confined area such as a hotel desk, airplane tray, waiting room, etc.
Also, as usual, we covered the games we played in June and talked about our upcoming trip to attend the World Boardgaming Championships in Pennsylvania and the games we plan to play in July.
We will remind you here that we are fortunate to be continuing our relationship with Noble Knight Games as the sponsor for our Monthly Debrief Video series. In case you don’t know, Noble Knight Games specializes in hard to find games but also carry all the new releases. But what makes them truly unique is that you can find some of the rarest games, long out of print games, hand made games, imported games from overseas, etc. Thanks to them for their sponsorship and we hope that you will consider them first when looking for the games we cover.

Bravery in the Sand is a gem of a game. Loads of fun to play.

I just watched your “June” debrief and was really interested in joining you at WBC to play Congress of Vienna (and/or John Company, but timing there might not work out.) Apologies if that isn’t how you do these things, but if you know when you plan on running the game (my window is kind of limited to go to WBC) and are looking for additional players, please let me know.
I’ve watched your channel for years, used to comment on Twitter, but have migrated to Bluesky where I’m less active but still follow y’all.
Apologies if this is too forward/annoying, but I figured I might as well ask!
Best,
Robert

Robert we have a spot in our game of Congress of Vienna which is currently scheduled for Wednesday morning at 9:00am. Can you make that work? I need to know by tomorrow.

Grant,
I can and want to, assuming registering isn’t an issue. I haven’t been to the WBC before and didn’t realize that that registration was a multi-step process. I paid for my membership this evening, received an email that my application was “under review” and assume this is proforma. If so, I’ll be there!

Grant,
I’m looking forward to sitting down with you to play Congress of Vienna Wednesday morning. My assumption is that you won’t be hard to find, but I’ll get there early to make sure – I can also send my phone # if that is helpful.
As I read the instructions, you planned a full campaign, correct? I’m happily committed to however long you all want to go, but am looking at the “Initial Situation Cards” right now as I (sorta) prelearn the game.
thanks again for a place at the table,
Robert
