On the trip to the World Boardgaming Championships in late July 2023, we shot a car video where we discussed some games that we were disappointed by. We don’t do these videos often, but felt it was important to share some of these disappointments.

HAH! I’m glad someone else had the same thoughts on MBT and for me by extension Panzer. I felt this way about Panzer. You win initiative and you win. I really wanted to like these games. MBT and Panzer.

Staggering initiative in the advanced rules is unknown by the “experts”.
This happens when streamers try a game for 3 hours and then broadcast things from a car to get quick clicks.
Panzer is an incredible grand tactical simulation with an extremely detailed look at mechanical WW2 warfare with a 100D system taking into account dozens of different defense and penetration factors of almost every individual hardware used in that war.
But hey stick to the basic rules only and then make comments about it.

As always thanks for your insightful and well reasoned arguments Ben. I truly appreciate the fact that we are not real wargamers and have no idea what we are doing. But, you know what, wargames are for everyone and not everyone has to like every game.
I have liked dozens of really thick, crunchy, hex and counters wargames. But some just don’t click and are not of interest. I am sorry that my tastes don’t align with yours. Thanks.

Must admit U-boat from, phalanx was one of my most disappointing games, It just wasn’t fun, I’m not sure I want semi real time games. I don’t play video games and I felt this was very much a video game (also I know have a rule never but games with apps – I have 50 year old games I can still play by just taking off the shelf, many of my games with apps are no longer playable
Interested as someone who never sells game s(I have the storage) how do you guys sell your games?
