Blitzkrieg! is a small abstract strategy game that allows players to recreate World War II in around 20 minutes. Fast playing, with some really slick mechanics, this is a really great filler game that is good for both wargamers and non-wargamers alike.

The main mechanic of the game sees players drawing army tokens from a bag to determine their starting forces and to replenish their losses. Rather than ‘fighting’ battles with dice or cards, players allocate their military resources to each theatre’s campaigns, winning victory points by controlling the theater while trying to collect additional resources from special spaces such as special weapons and strategic advantages as they play. A really fun and light strategy game that we really enjoyed.
