War and Peace, Mark McLaughlin’s classic wargame on Napoleonic conquest, is revitalized and enhanced with completely updated graphics and production, and a completely revamped rulebook that incorporates all known errata, additional scenarios, and all official variants and optional rules with the 2020 Kickstarter edition. What you get with this new version is all of the Napoleonic Campaigns in one box, plus a newly revised Grand Campaign Game, with an all-new map, components, modern artwork, and greatly updated rules with new optional rules for chrome and increased emphasis on the Operational Arts.

thank you Grant. I appreciate your written words. I get much more out of it as I am not a great listner. I appreciate your keeping on!

Another game I have fond memories of! It was one of my first war games, along with 3rd Reich, back in the late 70s/early 80s. Good to see it back.

Well 40 years has seen a dramatic improvement in production values!! Pulled my old copy from the shelf and think I need the new one. You fellas are costing me money!! OSS is out of stock, so hopefully they’ll produce another run of it. Looks like the new version has significant updates on the map and player aids. I’ve always considered War and Peace as the middle range of the Napoleonic strategy games, not as intense or detailed as Avalon Hills Empire in Arms, but heavier than GMT’s Napoleonic Wars. I also have fond memories of playing it in the mid 90’s, particularly one instance where my French forces attacked the Austrian/Russian alliance at Vienna. The Austrian player picked the worst possible battle matrix selections against mine, so bad DRM’s, then backed that up with the worst dice rolling I’ve ever seen. The poor English player was having a fit as the Austrians melted under the French attack. Our group laughed about it for years. Fun times.
