Rogue State is a solitaire geopolitical conflict simulation where the player assumes the role of the Supreme Leader of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) immediately after the end of the Korean War. Your primary objective will be for your regime to survive from 1953 through the year 2030. Your secondary objective will be to maximize adherence to the Juche ideology by progressively achieving national self-reliance and global influence. Juche points are earned by advancing your nation’s military strength, industrial production, nuclear weapons development, and assertively responding to events while minimizing lingering foreign debt. Victory over your imperialist oppressors will require you to carefully manage scarce resources, strategically evaluate risk, and develop a keen awareness of the interaction between the world situation and your decisions. Each turn represents approximately seven years on the timeline of the DPRK.

Grant,
Well, that was a surprise… thought Alexander would have been doing the unbagging . I’m a huge fan of Tiny Battle Publishing!!!! I actually also have this game, but haven’t dug into it enough to pass judgment. LOVE the theme of the game! LOVE the idea of having all that “on your plate” (like Donning The Purple), and figuring out how you maneuver through it! I started out with the “Rifles” series (Rifles in the Ardennes and Rifles in the Pacific) and also bought the Battle of Ramadi. These days, I’m pretty keyed into solo games (Warfighter, DVG, Nemo’s War, and “Run, Fight or Die”), and especially small publishing companies (High Flying Dice, Legion Games, and Tiny Battle Publishing), and IF NOT… trying to play two player games (AH, and GMT) by myself. Looking forward to any and all reviews you put out for this game. Have you received a reviewers copy of that Russian Civil War/State of Siege game? I supported it on Kickstarter. As always, thanks for updating what games are out there. Looking forward to what comes next.
