With the 3rd Volume of Old School Tactical coming out earlier this year called Pacific 1942/1945, we wanted to do a video talking about the system, what it is, what you can expect and our thoughts on the system and its playability.

Thanks for making the comparison to Combat Commander and for making the Mark Walker connection – I was just reading the rules for the Nations at War (Lock ‘N Load – platoon-level) and now I see how the two systems are related.

Great video and thoroughly enjoyed it.
I played Squad Leader back in the day, then a few years back moved onto ASLSK and then moved onto full ASL. In the end it was just TOO much rules-wise, it was way over the top for me, plus the lack of command and control and other things really annoyed me. When I got OST it was the first time that I went “Yes! This is what I have been looking for in a tactical squad level WWII game!”. I simply love it and you guys do a great job giving an overview of the system and what it’s about.
Terrific system and the perfect balance.
