For What Remains: Skirmish Tactics Apocalypse is a skirmish-level wargame set in a post-apocalyptic near future. The game is designed for 2 player competitive play or solitaire play.
There are two ways to play For What Remains: skirmishes and campaigns. Skirmishes are standalone games played for a single victory, with no lasting repercussions. Campaigns are a series of skirmishes linked together to form a larger narrative.
For What Remains is a scenario driven game. Each scenario typically has multiple objectives, and combat between factions is usually secondary. Players win skirmishes by gaining victory points through accomplishing these objectives.

The campaign starts on Tuesday, June 4th at 3:00 PM EST.
Looks very similar to Conflict of Heroes etc., albeit thematically different. Chit pull is far and away my favourite mechanic.
I’m not really feeling the theme, but again the same can be said of tactical games like Conflict of Heroes. Are there any tactical games where the theme feels relevant to the gameplay? I get the feeling that many are move/shoot games with a differing coats of paint.

Like the chit pull part vs what others do, but I’m finding it hard to see what is special in this game versus the crowded space it is entering. There are some old and recent that likely do as good or better at the theme and gameplay. I hope the Kickstarter campaign can convey clearly what makes backing this one important. The designer has some really good hits, so maybe my initial impression is off.
