The September/October 2025 Monthly Debrief Video, which is the 9th and 10th episode in Season 5 of this series, saw us discussing Future Classics. These are games that are newer, meaning having been published over the past couple of years, and were excellent and we feel as they get played more and more they will fall into the category of classics. Time will give them the room to grow into being thought of as classic wargames.
Also, as usual, we covered the games we played in September and October, which included lots of game being played at SPIEL Essen, as well as the games we plan to play in November.
We will remind you here that we are fortunate to be continuing our relationship with Noble Knight Games as the sponsor for our Monthly Debrief Video series. In case you don’t know, Noble Knight Games specializes in hard to find games but also carry all the new releases. But what makes them truly unique is that you can find some of the rarest games, long out of print games, hand made games, imported games from overseas, etc. Thanks to them for their sponsorship and we hope that you will consider them first when looking for the games we cover.

These reviews always seem to end with my credit card getting dinged for some new wargames.
I love Gest of Robin Hood (and am so happy it is on Board Game Arena) & British Way is excellent (but, with limited friends to play with live, I am hoping for a Solo Bot System)…..I like the 4-player COIN games better as it adds so many more wrinkles, but these are sweet.
I hope to get my hands on Purple Haze ASAP.
Another great review! I am logging off to start writing my letter to Santa!
