This past November, Alexander and I attended SDHistCon in beautiful San Diego, California for the 2nd year in a row and it was fabulous! We were able to play a ton of games, meet with a lot of designers, see old friends, make new friends and also just have a good time. I want to share the videos that we did while attending.

Here is a link to our video discussion regarding the Blind Swords Series game Shiloh: The First Day from Revolution Games that we were able to play with Grant Linneberg from Pushing Cardboard and with designer Steve Carey overseeing our play and giving us advice and commentary about the design choices:

Here is a link to a designer interview and discussion with Sam London regarding his upcoming American Revolution trick taking wargame called Common Sense:

Next is a video with Florent Coupeau from Nuts! Publishing getting a look at a few of their upcoming titles including Guerre Eclair:

We also met up with Mark Miklos, who is the BoAR Series designer, and played him in a 3-player game of Battles of the American Revolution Savannah from GMT Games and shot the following review video:

Our final video of the conference was an interview with Trevor Bender designer of the upcoming Korea: Fight Across the 38th Appearing in C3i Magazine Issue #38 from RBM Studio:

Then, upon returning home, we shot the following full Debrief Video of the convention:

Also, I wrote a Daily Debrief Series of posts on the blog while attending and you can read those at the following links:

Day 1

Day 2

Day 3

Finally, I wrote a wrap of the convention and our experiences with the following post: https://theplayersaid.com/2024/11/22/san-diego-historical-games-convention-sdhistcon-2024-nothing-but-thank-yous/

Thank you so much for all of the support and for watching out content. We will be unable to attend SDHistCon in 2025 but will return in 2026 and I cannot wait!
