Daniel Hernández designed a solitaire game covering the Spanish Road during the Thirty Years’ War (1614-1648) called The Spanish Road (El Camino Español), which was specially designed for the 6th edition of the Bellota Wargames and Historical Games Convention that is held in Badajoz, Spain with the stunning artistic talent of Nils Johansson. Since that time, he agreed to have his game printed in Issue #37 of C3i Magazine from RBM Studio. The Spanish Road reflects the logistical, diplomatic and military challenges that the Spanish Armies had when crossing the Spanish Road from Lombardy to Flanders in the period from 1567 to 1634. The game reflects the logistical and military challenges of ‘The Spanish Road’ and its strategic importance during the Thirty Years War (1618-1648).
