Global War: World War II Worldwide 1939-1945 is a strategic solitaire wargame covering World War II across the globe with a similar modification of the classic States of Siege Series that was used in Kaiserkrieg from 2022. Players will have to deal with all fronts controlling the Allies attacking into France, the Eastern Block and the vast Pacific to challenge the Germans and Japanese forces for control of the world. As is the case with most of Ben Madison’s designs, the game attempts to include all aspects of the war with various abstracted elements such as the war in various theaters outside of Europe and with several operations such as the Naval/Air Warfare Phase and the Blockade Running and Battle of the Atlantic to determine the number of actions the player has each round. But it all works together beautifully to create a very interesting and engaging experience.
