Hapsburg Eclipse is a solitaire States of Siege Series game covering World War I in Eastern Europe from 1914-1918. The player controls the leadership of the Austro-Hungarian Empire and, peripherally, the German Central Staff who assumes greater and greater control over their ally. The Austro-Hungarians have unique challenges as they try to survive the onslaught of the “Russian Steamroller” and try to conquer the Serbs in the South. The mission will be complicated by the perseverance of those enemies; the difficulties with new fronts in Romania, the Balkans, and the Italian border; and the difficulty of keeping the Empire’s restive nationalities from revolting from Hapsburg Rule.
This video covers the newest 3rd Edition of the game that was released during the fall of 2023 from Tabletop Tycoon.

A nice, concise overview, Grant. I must say, I LOVE this game, as with Leviloff’s other games, but I was very disappointed with TTTs production quality. Both this and Ottoman Sunset have numerous typos/errors, on cards, board and box, which leaves the impression that TTT did not review the production at all before release. What is the worse problem however is that the card fonts are small and almost illegible (even with readers). Worthington would have had much better production quality and the conspicuous TTT issues would really deter me from looking at them if I was a game designer. The price point here is more attractive than Worthington but because this is one of my favorite games, I would have rather had a proofed version.
