Iskra: Spark of Victory, 4th Sinjavino Offensive, 1943 is a World War II Operational level wargame set on the Russian Front in 1943. After numerous attacks on the German bottleneck at Ladoga, desperately trying to close the gap between the Volkhov Front and the Leningrad Front, the Soviets muster for a new assault. Confident after the great victories at Stalingrad and Velikye-Luki, the Soviets once and for all try to close the gap and relieve Leningrad after being besieged for over 900 days. The game starts January 12, 1943 and is 10 turns long, one turn being one day. Even if out numbering the Germans, it is not a cake walk for the Soviet player.
We posted an interview with the designer Stefan Ekström and you can read that on the blog at the following link: https://theplayersaid.com/2023/10/03/interview-with-stefan-ekstrom-designer-of-iskra-spark-of-victory-4th-sinjavino-offensive-from-three-crowns-games/
