We discovered Warfighter last year and frankly can’t get enough. We started with Warfighter: Pacific, then went back and obtained Warfighter: World War II and now have expanded into Warfighter: Shadow War. In case you don’t know, Warfighter: Shadow War is a card game for 1 to 6 players. You play cooperatively against the system to complete Modern Special Forces squad-level combat missions. At the start of each mission, you each select a soldier, equip them with skills, weapons, and combat gear within the mission’s Resource limit. Then play through scenarios with different missions, objectives, enemies and rewards. This game though is not about firing your guns and throwing grenades. This edition is about subtetly and sneakery as you want to get to the objective while only engaging the minimum numbers of enemies.

Hey Guys! Caught your Warfighter:Shadow War review again and really loved it! Words can’t really express how much I LOVE this game concept! As a solo player, it scratches ALL the itches I want out of a tactical game. MODERN is well worth investing in… as a completist, I’ve gone out of my way to collect ALL the decks and it presents an OCEAN of possibilities. I’ve put Russian squads together, international squads together, and created a squad of great individual soldiers…of course, ONLY to run into one hailstorm after another, as I progressed through these missions. This game makes me think, makes me strategize. and makes me a better war gamer. TRY PMC! Keep the great reviews coming… amazing work as always.

Great review, keep up the great work. Don’t forget to grab Modern (Daytime) version also, but be very afraid of going down the rabbit hole with the never ending expansions that you will want to hoard to satisfy the OCD completest monster in your inner self. 🙂
Have you ever looked at some of the FFG (Fantasy Flight Games) solo/co-op games? The Lord of the Rings LCG, Arkham Horror LCG and the newest Marvel Champions LCG? For a change of pace and something different -yet similar, and have that must collect every expansion vibe too. Plus the great feeling of accomplishment when you complete a mission just like in the Warfighter games

We love the Fantasy Flight Lord of the Rings LCG and each have many of the expansions. We couldn’t keep up in about year three and quit purchasing more but we still play it occasionally. Great game. Haven’t tried Arkham Horror (but we love Elder Sign) or the Marvel Champions.

If you love Elder Sign, you might like Eldritch Horror. Elder sign takes place in a building; Arkham horror takes place in a town (obviously); eldritch horror takes place all around the world, and is my other favorite, after elder sign.
Keep up the great work — love staying abreast with you fellows — cheers!
