New to me line of Tactical Combat games from Lock ‘n Load Publishing. Lock ‘n Load Tactical: Heroes of the Pacific focuses on the Pacific Theater of Operations during World War II and sees you commanding either Americans (among other Allied nations) or the Empire of Japan. Love the production value of this game and the system looks really cool.

I try to not be political and put the past behind me but seeing a Japanese soldier under a title with “heroes” is a bit off putting. Same problem with Conflict of Heroes: Guadalcanal which has a charging Japanese soldier. Love the games and the quality of the art but not the composition.

My only comment would be in every wargame someone has to play the part of the “Enemy”. I think it is no different than any other wargame where someone plays the losing side. There were heroes on each side. That is my thought anyway.

Yeah, agree with you and I have to keep reminding myself about that too. It’s a personal thing – I don’t seem to have as much issue with the War in Europe. Maybe I’ve studied too much about War in the Pacific.
Bottom Line – Love your reviews and commentary; actually very close to my thoughts. Keep up the good work and wargame on!

I also love your stuff as well and love to see the gaming sessions of the Rocky Mountain Boys! Really wish my son had taken to gaming but alas he is more inclined to video games.

My oldest is that way but I work on him slowly. He owns his own copy of Command & Colors: Ancients and there just “might”be a copy of Academy Games’ 879 Vikings ready for Christmas!
