Tim joins us for a cooperative play through and we give our thoughts on Nemo’s War from Victory Point Games. The game is designed as a solo game but they included a nifty cooperative variant for 2-4 players that allows each player to take a crew member and be in charge of certain aspects of the game play. For example, Alexander was the Tactical Officer and was in charge of all rolls for enemy ships as well as our combat rolls.

Oh, wow! Was that a fun showing! Sorry about all the dice-chucking, but we’ve worked it in a number of different ways and, because of the DRM strategies you can use and volume of dice rolls in the game, everything works nicely using averages-over-time instead of falling apart on a single critical roll’s failure. The math in there is actually pretty elegant, I think!
